With the 2012 elections just over a year away, the political heat is rising in Washington and in Tallahassee. While Governor Scott will not face voters until 2014, the voters will have the opportunity to show their support or opposition to his policies through the legislative races. Additionally, the impact of budget cuts will be evident in the court houses and school boards across the state.
As to Washington, there is more to discuss than we have space for. Is there an effort to dismantle Medicare ? Should we eliminate some of the tax loopholes ? Should taxes be increased on the top income earners ? Is it time to get out of Afghanistan and Iraq ? Lots of questions, but so far, not many answers.
