SOHO Updates

Some general updates on the happenings in SOHO.

1. The court hearing in the effort by property owner Frank Kane against Howard Avenue Station LLC (owned by Tommy Ortiz, of Cheap, the Kennedy, and Hyde Park Cafe) was to be held on Monday, April 26. Kane was seeking back payments for the lease purchase of the property occupied by Cheap, the Dubliner, and more. Neither party nor their attorney's showed up for the 2:15 hearing.

2. The injunction filed by the Dubliner against Ortiz is still in effect.

3. The former auto parts store on Platt, across from the GreenWise Market is being turned into a larger office for Spark, an advertising agency. The firm recently obtained SweetBay as a client and has been on a hiring spree. The new, larger building will help to contain their multitude of talent.
