The former Corner Bar at Platt and Howard is being slowly built out to be a new club called Drink. We were originally told this would be open by Gasparilla – 2009, then late summer, at this rate, the first of the year might be optimistic.
In contrast, Mark and Didi Zudar have been working fast to open Mato’s Bar and Grille at the former Tacqueria Quetzlcoatl location at Howard and Azeele. The restaurant will feature Chef Susan Block from Texas bringing a unique and innovative Mexican style menu. Design and art work is being done by internationally known pop artist Jules Burt. Plans are for Mato’s to open in early November.
MacDinton's has been wanting to improve their bathrooms for year, well it is finally happening and hopefully will be completed soon ! With the popularity of their outdoor patio they have also added an additional serving area. The outdoor bar should be ready for the Hair of the Dog event this Sunday from 5-7. $20 per person - open bar and two grill items. Raffle, giveaways and more. Proceeds to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. We will see you there.
