Sorry, but I have to vent for a moment.
Yesterday I received an email from a hair salon telling me that they had reduced their price for a few of their services and thought it should be in the editorial section of our newspaper. The email did provide a url to their website, but did not bother to provide an address for their local salon.
Today, I got a call from an unknown company that manufactures something. They wanted us to write an article about the fact that they have decided to expand their sales territory.
Do you really think these are editorial or story potential ? Of course, not.
When I suggested a paid advertisment both got angry and one even started insulting me.
Get real, we have bills we try to pay too.
